Heartbleed Security Flaw: Is RentLinx Safe?

Yes!

By now you have probably heard about Heartbleed, a vulnerability in the widely used security software that allowed hackers to steal passwords, credit card data or Social Security numbers from secure websites (for example, certain https sites).

Don’t worry. RentLinx uses a different encryption technology than the one that was affected by the Heartbleed bug, and therefore is not affected by Heartbleed.

If you used your RentLinx password only for RentLinx, there is no need to change it. However, if you used the same password for other websites, we recommend that you change your RentLinx password.

The security company LastPass created an online tool to help people find out if a website was vulnerable to the Heartbleed bug. Use this tool to check any other websites you use that you may be concerned about: https://lastpass.com/heartbleed/
